Strap Pad – Protect Your Boots and Laces from Wear and Tear
Take a look at your back boot and lace at the end of the season. Notice anything? You’ll probably notice that your laces are cut up and that the toe of your boot is shredded. But why? When you get onto the chairlift, the weight of your snowboard pulls heavily on your front leg, causing stress on your knee and ankle. In order to reduce the stress on your front leg, most riders will support the weight of the snowboard by resting the snowboard edge on top of their back boot. Doing this once is not a problem, but doing that consistently can cause serious damage to your very expensive boots. Until now, this has been the only method of reducing that stress on your front leg. That was, of course, until the invention of the Strap Pad, the only stomp pad available on the market to ease your ride up and off the chairlift.
When you enter the chairlift, you simply slide your foot into the strap on the pad and it completely eliminates that heavy pulling sensation on your front leg by supporting the back of the snowboard inside the strap. This greatly protects your boots because you are no longer supporting the weight of your snowboard by resting the sharp edge on your expensive boots. This small investment of $20 can protect your boots from damage that will eventually require you to throw them away.
We leave with the Strap Pad testimonial of the week. This testimonial comes from David M over in New Jersey. David writes:
“Great Yesterday I went riding, and the strap pad was fantastic. I always struggle getting off the lifts, but with the strap pad it was like having the rear binding secured. Still not pretty, but at least now I’m riding off the lift 9 out of 10 times, as opposed to falling off the lift with the old stomp pad. Thanks for a great product!”
Thank you David for your input and we can’t wait to see you on the slopes!
