Strap Pad – Why Would You Settle for an Uncomfortable Ride?
I was blessed with my father’s bad knees and ankles, so when I go snowboarding, I can only make it up the chairlift just a few times before by joints start to kill me and it becomes more painful to ride than the enjoyment I get out of flying down the mountain. In today’s market, there is no option for increasing the comfort of a snowboarder while on the chairlift. You have all the weight of the snowboard hanging off of the front foot, and that heavy pulling sensation is killer on your front joints. In fact, the average rider spends 15 – 20% of their time on the mountain riding on a chairlift. Why would you ever settle for an uncomfortable ride? Until now, we have had no choice; fortunately, the use of the Strap Pad, the only stomp pad on the market with a built in strap to ease your ride up and off the chairlift, is a no brainer.
The Strap Pad was developed by a group of riders who were unsatisfied with their uncomfortable journey up the chairlift. We felt it was unreasonable that just because we happen to have weak joints, that we shouldn’t be denied the right to ride with the best of them. Going down the hill was never a problem, it was always going up. After much brainstorming, the Strap Pad was born and the industry was changed. Riders can now slide their foot into the strap after they enter the chairlift and the weight of the snowboard is instantly distributed amongst both legs – no more uncomfortable rides. The Strap Pad also makes the rider comfortable enough that he is no longer shifting and knocking into his neighbor’s skis or boards while on the lift. Win – Win. With the Strap Pad, I can now focus all of my energy into flying down the mountain and throwing sick jumps instead of on how I’m even going to make it passed lunch time.
We leave with the Strap Pad testimonial of the week. This testimonial comes from Bob C over in Sutton, MA. Bob writes:
“Great idea for a product, with a rebuilt left knee this will be a lifesaver riding the lifts.”
Thank you Bob for your input and we can’t wait to see you on the slopes!
